The student performers, under the direction of Linda Huck and Elliot Naes, greeted the guests of the park as they marched past Cinderella Castle on their way down Main Street, U.S.A. Their performance was truly in the Disney spirit as they performed several classics including Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious from Mary Poppins and Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah from Song of the South. The students helped to get the crowd excited before Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade, giving them an inside look at what it is like to be a professional in the entertainment industry. Though the hotel welcomes its first guests on Monday, a few of its signature amenities wont be open until later this month. The BIndulgedSpa http://travelingepcot.tumblr.com/ will debut with four treatment rooms, including one for couple therapies, a hair salon, nail boutique, relaxation lounge, mens and womens locker rooms, and fitness center. A sampling of their aromatherapy scents offered a sense of the luxuriousness that guests will enjoy while being pampered there soon. AVEDA products are used throughout the hotel, including the guest room bathrooms. Also opening soon is American Q, an on-site BBQ restaurant created by Jeffrey Chodorow of China Grill Management specifically for the hotel to feature smoked meats, fish and poultry. At todays preview, a deceivingly simple dish of a deviled egg, dressed veggies, and strips of bacon brought incredibly bold flavors that immediately brought excitement toward the upcoming restaurant. Theres no doubt their chefs know how to cook well. The look of the restaurant was previewed via a mood board today. Downtown Disney is about a 10 minute walk away from B Resort but complimentary shuttles are available to take guests throughoutWalt Disney World. Dont B surprised if you leave this hotel talking in abbreviations as all staff are quick to B witty with plenty of puns.

A Look At Disney Cruise Line’s Taste Of Alaska Menu

Tracy-Arm-Fjord-Cookout-0828ZX_0369MSOne of my official site favorite parts of traveling is experiencing locally sourced food in the destinations I visit. We know our guests appreciate the same, so we’re always looking for ways to give them a sense of where we are in the world through our dining offerings.

A really special way we do this in Alaska is a cookout while we sail through Tracy Arm Fjord to visit the glacier. We chargrill local items like venison sausages, fresh sockeye salmon, fresh line-caught halibut and elk tenderloin. It’s the perfect way to experience the flavors of Alaska while enjoying the breathtaking scenery!
Our Taste of Alaska menu is another chance we give you to savor food fresh from the region. The guest favorite is the honey mustard-marinated Alaskan salmon with sauteed spinach, fingerling potatoes and an Aquavit sour cream sauce. Another flavorful option is the juniper-spiced elk tenderloin with brussels sprouts and baby carrots on spaetzle with a black currant sauce.
One thing’s for sure … on your Alaska cruise with us this summer, the beautiful frontier isn’t the only spectacular item on the menu for you!
We’re also serving up some pretty amazing culinary specialties in the Mediterranean , which I’ll tell you more about next week.
